During an eight day period in the summer, the town of Llangollen in north east Wales attracts visitors worldwide who congregate to participate in the Eisteddfod festival. An eclectic mix of cultures transform this town into a unique stage for competitions and concerts. Such a huge event relies heavily on publicity including online, printed and inflatable advertising, the latter being one of the more unusual.

Each day brings a different theme such as Celtic and folk day and international sing and dance. The finale to the festival is the Choir of the World Competition which sees the award of the Pavarotti trophy to the overall winner of the choral competition. In 2005 Pavarotti gave his name to the choral competition which only adds to its prestige and fame.

The carnival atmosphere continues in the evening when famous international popular and classical performers take the stage alongside the top competitors for a stunning succession of concerts.

The great literature, music and dance festival is a fantastic stage for businesses to attract new customers. Each year the Eisteddfod is promoted in a blaze of publicity which ensures maximum exposure for performers from all parts of the globe.

During festival week the 35 acre site plays host to over 300 stands comprising businesses, charities and crafts all taking advantage of the global concentration of people in one town nestling on the banks of the river Dee. Various advertising medium come into play before and during the festival, of which inflatable advertising is one of the more eye catching.
