Small Welsh businesses can take advantage of free one on one advice during Business Advice Week from 28 November until 2 December 2011. The free advice could prove useful in these dire economic times as small businesses struggle in Wales along with everywhere else in the UK.
The eligibility for participation is that a business must have been trading for at least one year and employs no more than 25 people. The event will also make businesses aware of the several layers of specialised advice available in addition to support on hand to help small businesses cope with the economic downturn.
Highly trained and skilled business advisers will be located at 12 venues where business owners and managers can meet in private one to one sessions. The aim of these confidential meetings will be to listen and offer targeted access to business support depending on the prognosis of each respective business’s needs. At the end of the session it is hoped that those attending will feel some degree of hope and will be well armed with appropriate contacts who can support and help their businesses grow.
In austere times small businesses can feel isolated, but sharing and exchanging information may be just the tonic to turn a business around. As the advice is free it is hoped that many small businesses will take advantage of the offer.
Edwina Hart, the Business Minister stated the Welsh Government’s commitment to providing businesses with support for future long term growth.
